On Tuesday 18 September 2018, EuroCham Myanmar organized a breakfast talk on the business climate in Myanmar, EU responses to the UN report and ICJ trial, and their anticipated implications for EU businesses operating within the country. This seminar included the presence of His Excellency Kristian Schmidt, EU Ambassador to Myanmar, along with more than 35 country representatives of European companies in Myanmar. The event was a continuation of an initiative to establish a regular consultation platform between EU Delegations and EuroCham advocacy members. The co-chairs and representatives of the EuroCham advocacy groups presented the EU Ambassador with an update on the current state of affairs in their respective sectors. Nishant Choudhary, Myanmar Deputy Managing Director & Head of Banking & Finance Practice attended this breakfast as part of the Legal Advocacy Group.
