Partner Audray Souche and Senior Legal Advisor Rutherford Hubbard authored an article entitled “The Lao PDR: PPP Maverick or Policy Innovator?” in the current edition of International Law News, a journal published by the American Bar Association. The piece details the regulatory framework for public-private partnerships in the Lao PDR and argues that the ad hoc approach taken by the Lao government has been remarkably successful in attracting investment in certain sectors, particularly hydropower. International Law News was launched in 1972 and seeks to provide overviews of international law topics as well as concrete, how-to advice for practicing in the field.
